The thought of love

"For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten son, that whosoever believed on Him should not perish, but have everlasting life."

Immediately after reading that, we begin to feel a sense of entitlement or personal reward, we get the notion that God's love is directed at us, but this is far from the Truth of the matter. This passage unfolds an intricate Divine Plan set in motion by The Most High God to bring honor and glory to His Name, edify His Son, and usher in forgiveness through repentance; the pleasure is God's, the honor is due to Christ, it has nothing to do with us who are the undeserving - Isaiah 53:[9]And he made his grave with the wicked, and with the rich in his death; because he had done no violence, neither was any deceit in his mouth.[10]Yet it pleased the LORD to bruise him; he hath put him to grief: when thou shalt make his soul an offering for sin, he shall see his seed, he shall prolong his days, and the pleasure of the LORD shall prosper in his hand.

This quote is one of the most misunderstood references for love as there has ever been, not only do we get it wrong in it's true intention, we also get it wrong in its meaning and use; as it is defined applicably. Let us for a moment examine the word "love", the term of love, the feeling of love, and the action of love, so that we can get a clear and more defined understanding of this misconception that is placed upon us for an emotional sensation.

I will not go into detailed philosophical dialogue or scholastic jargon about the topic, because hence , this is where and why we have a whole delusion of the understanding of what the intent of love is. So a man thinks, so he does, and for most of us, we often think of love as being the greatest feeling that we can extend to a person, we say it so often that we literally believe it to be reality like some tangible gift we pass from one to another.

Well in my humble opinion and insightful knowledge through understanding of those things profoundly Divine in essence, it behooves me to inform you that love is not an emotional sensational feeling, but just simply an act of doing, more so, doing in obedience.

The word love has so many meanings, but the most notable is the act of "selflessness" attributed and displayed as by a father or mother upon their children, or anyone willing to put others before themselves; this is the most recognizable and misconstrued interpretation of the world's idealistic understanding of this concept. While this is commendable, it only reiterates the emotional sensation which is attributed to the term.

Love is an act of Righteousness rendered by those in obedience to God's Laws, Statues, Judgments and Commandments to this world, not just for His people or those who believe; but for the Saving Grace of those who should come to repentance because of His love.

The word love in it's true intention, means sacrifice, it demands that the doer should always make the choice to serve another before himself, the idea is not to act selfless alone, but to sacrifice for the good of others that the Word of God be fulfilled through the action. To live in accordance to The Word of God is the whole concept of what "love" really is 2 John 1:[6]And this is love, that we walk after his commandments. This is the commandment, That, as ye have heard from the beginning, ye should walk in it.

When we begin to look at the term of "love" we would find that it is spoken with emotion and feelings of humanistic qualities as is our design, we want to feel good, we want to feel appreciated, we want to be recognized, we want others to like us, we need attention, we crave affection, and on and on it goes; the never ending desires of the flesh. When a person seeks what we call love, we expect that those to whom we share this feeling should bestow upon us those things we desire which in turn tells us that we are actually "loved" by others. This is a false concept of an idea that deprives us of experiencing the true sense of what this action ought to be, respecting, trusting, helping and sharing with others purely from the aspect that we are commanded to do so, and not because anyone one of us is more deserving or more special than another as according to Romans 12:[10]Be kindly affectioned one to another with brotherly love; in honour preferring one another.

The emotions which derive from the "feeling of Love"  are a false sense of comfort that only misleads us to think that someone really cares for us the way we truly desire to be treated, but truthfully, that is a delusion, because no one can care for us more than God according to His Word. Mothers and fathers sometimes abandon or kill their children, children often times neglect or abandon their parents, so needles to say, what greater bond is there on this earth than that of maternal and paternal attachments? In another sense of this emotional adaptation of love, there is what the world calls "holy matrimony" or affectionately called marriage. This idea is grossly misrepresented in the "hearts of men" because it can never actually be conceptualized or obtained. Relationships and marriages based on the idea and emotions of love are disasters waiting to happen; not because there is no real desire to "love" each other, but because the love they share are carnal feelings of delusion, not according to The Word of God - Ephesians 5:[25]Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it; [28]So ought men to love their wives as their own bodies. He that loveth his wife loveth himself.

In essence, this concept of "love" is far from being exhibited in the world as it should be, the way that it is spoken of and used goes against the natural order of God's Laws and subsequently denies His authority in this world. Love in it's purest sense of the word, is Spiritual in nature which seeks to bestow righteousness upon the giver, grace and mercy upon the receiver and ultimate honor and glory to God. This love that the world knows is a self attributed act of vanity through ignorance and contempt from those who defy the Will of God 1 John 5:[3]For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments: and his commandments are not grievous. [4]For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith. [5]Who is he that overcometh the world, but he that believeth that Jesus is the Son of God?
